There is a corridor in this world <br />That we may choose to take, to follow <br />We may never be able to see the exit <br />But something draws us slowly to it <br />A pulsating fear, a dread, a hope? <br /> <br />As our gentle footsteps follow <br />This path to either wonderment or <br />Sorrow, we cut our souls and soles <br />Along the way, this is the price <br />That we pay for testing and trying <br /> <br />There is a velvetness that marks <br />Our way along this journey and leads <br />Us into uknown vortexes, where we <br />Twist and turn, mutate, gestate.. <br />Become something, we've never seen.. <br /> <br />But, the light pulls us closer <br />It tantalises and taunts us and <br />Promises something that we've <br />Never known, or dreamed of, this <br />Bewildering anticipation of nervousness <br /> <br />And our spirit hopes and begs <br />And sometimes undresses our innermost <br />Feelings, that dare! to spring into <br />Being and reveal the truth that is <br />So deep within our hearts.. <br /> <br />Oh blessed are we, that sit here <br />Amongst the trees, and whisper unto <br />The wind, our fantasies, our plays <br />Our veritible games, of searching <br />Of love, of despair and unrepair<br /><br />Michelle Tiddy<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/corridor/
