Oh the pain, the pain <br />nearly drove me insane <br />never felt pain as this <br /> <br />I was stoned literally, stoned <br />from the bladder up to the kidney <br />Oh woe! was me <br /> <br />twenty four hours <br />I lay there in a bed <br />lovely nurses galore <br /> <br />though their luscious, insidious beauty <br />did me no good <br />blinking my eyes to wish the pain away <br />if I only could <br /> <br />plenty of morphine to ease this drought <br />' till the next morn <br />I did roam <br />to the O.R <br /> <br />the op was a success <br />although quite the mess <br />urinating blood for a day or two <br />I'd never wish this pain <br />on your worst enemy <br /> <br />so as far as I can see <br />things will be fine <br />as long as I keep my diet in line <br /> <br />must sacrifice some foods I love <br />spinach, shell fish <br />even some meats <br /> <br />just another pain in life <br />putting up with <br />a momentary strife <br />getting blessed from a doctor <br />under his knife<br /><br />Matt Mondschein<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/my-kidney-stoned/
