A special little boy God gave to us one day <br />he placed you in our arms for us to lead your way <br /> <br />The love we had for you right from the very start <br />has grown so much throughout the years <br />it completely fills our heart <br /> <br />The memories are many of a young lad growing up <br />the laughter and the tears, the arrival of a pup <br />the T Ball games each Saturday in Summer days gone by <br />as you stood upon the batters plate and hit that ball sky high <br /> <br />The footy on those winter days, some miserable and cold <br />but you ran and kicked that footy but seldom kicked a goal <br />the trophies on the mantle piece stood testament to the time <br />when little legs ran like the wind, fond memories come to mind <br /> <br />The love we have for you our son has never wavered still <br />its only grown much stronger as the years roll by at will <br />we did'nt have a manual or a raising children's book <br />cause no such thing existed then, we had nowhere to look <br /> <br />So we raised you in our bosom in the way we thought was right <br />to teach you love and laughter and what was wrong from right <br />At time we saw you do things that we really could'nt understand <br />which brought us grief and sorrow which was'nt what we planned <br /> <br />But these short periods of concern and periods of despair <br />were overcome with our guidance, love and care <br /> <br />So today is very special for us both and you as well <br />as we say Happy Birthday son, have many more as well<br /><br />Stefan Squires<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/our-son-3/
