There was a family I seemed to recall <br />Who had two children, boy and girl <br />There was nothing more that these parents loved <br />Than these children in this world <br /> <br />On a cozy warm summer <br />This family had a holiday <br />But halfway on the highway road <br />The kids decided to stop and play <br /> <br />The kids wanted to play tag <br />To them it was still fun <br />So the parents decided to burn up some beers <br />Under the warm summer sun <br /> <br />After the kids had finished their game <br />They decided to hit the road <br />The father, tired and drowsy <br />Drove with a heavy load <br /> <br />Seeing upon an oncoming truck <br />The father panicked and swerved the car <br />It collided with an oil tank instead <br />And left the family many dreadful scars <br /> <br />Not long after, the vehicles exploded <br />Leaving the five victims to their death <br />Blazing flames, shattered glasses <br />And five dead bodies had been left <br /> <br />Do not ever drink and drive <br />We may lose those dearest to our hearts <br />For a shameful and irresponsible act <br />May leave two ends apart<br /><br />Anders Lim<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/drink-driving/
