To some noise can be music that's how it does appear <br />Impairment to their sense of hearing such people never fear <br />Some young people have their loud car stereos blaring when they are out on the town <br />Is this their way of attention seeking as the streets they drive up and down <br />The stress of such noise in close proximity to their ear drums must be great <br />Many of them will be wearing hearing aids in a not too distant date <br />Many old sayings from the distant past to them have a truthful ring <br />And one of them that comes to mind is 'youth will have it's fling' <br />But for playing very loud music and noise pollution there can be a price to pay <br />For loss of hearing in mid life that's life as some do say <br />Youth will have it's fling this well may be but their health they do not spare <br />As they drive in the town on saturday night their car stereos blare <br />What to them is music to another is noise one's weed is another's rose <br />In mid life they may be wearing hearing aids that's life one must suppose.<br /><br />Francis Duggan<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/youth-will-have-it-s-fling-this-well-may-be/
