I hardly know where to begin <br /> When everything I wanted feels like sin. <br /> <br />Day in and day out, I’m fighting myself <br /> How can something this good bring about all hell? <br /> <br />There’s right…then there’s wrong, <br /> And it’s time I know with whom I belong. <br /> <br />Do I do the same thing I’ve done before? <br /> Or explore my life to see if there’s more? <br /> <br />It hurts me to say this, but you need to see <br /> That I have to do what’s right for me. <br /> <br />Already, I’ve chased after you, <br /> That’s one fairytale ending that never came true. <br /> <br />You’re not faithful, it’s not just me, <br /> I know that there’s other girls you see. <br /> <br />And all this - it’s something I just don’t need. <br /> I want someone who’ll want only me. <br /> <br />Call it stupid or selfish, I really don’t care, <br /> It’s the only way a relationship is fair. <br /> <br />I know for me it hurt to see <br /> That we were never meant to be. <br /> <br />I’ll still love you everyday <br /> And friends forever I hope we’ll stay. <br /> <br />And I want you to know, while this I write, <br /> I’m trying to hold my tears inside. <br /> <br />And hopefully, one of these days, you’ll see, <br /> This was right for you, as well as me. <br /> <br />Because you love her, and I love him, <br /> Cheating would have been a sin. <br /> <br />I just want you to understand <br /> Why instead of yours I hold his hand. <br /> <br />(Written: 2-15-08.
