We look at time begrudgingly <br />saying there is never enough of it <br />to do all the things we want to do. <br />When we were young, it seemed <br />as if time lasted forever, <br />but as we grew older, <br />there never seemed enough of it <br />to last us through. <br />Time never alters; <br />it is only the pace <br />in which we live our lives that does. <br />As youngsters’ time to us meant nothing, <br />but as we get older, we are ruled by a clock. <br />One day we might realise <br />a clock should not rule our lives, <br />then we will see <br />we have more than enough time. <br /> <br /> <br />1 August 2009<br /><br />David Harris<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/time-never-alters/
