How many times have we heard it said <br />I told you so <br />when you do something wrong. <br />It is as if they are some kind of genius, <br />which always gets it right. <br />We learn from the mistakes we make <br />not by someone’s flapping tongue. <br />We all do things our own way, <br />if we get it wrong we get it wrong. <br />We just go back to the beginning <br />and start all over again <br />doing things a different way until we get it right. <br />What we don’t need is some know it all <br />to stand behind us and tut, tut away. <br />If we need help, we ask for it <br />from someone we know who knows <br />and not by some fly-by-night know it all <br />who normally knows nothing at all, <br />and not how to take their tongue <br />out of second gear.<br /><br />David Harris<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/i-told-you-so-9/
