Today, I sit and write <br />Write what I think is wrong and right <br />I have seen the sun rise on days so bright <br />And the sleeping stars in the soft night <br />I have been around for a few years <br />Shared with people my dreams and fears <br />I am just trying to find the true me <br />Trying to see how another man’s eyes see <br />Of course it doesn’t matter at all <br />Judgment isn’t made by men so tall <br />I was thinking about who I am today <br />And how much of me will truly stay <br />Will all my good deeds fade and be a waste? <br />Will I become sin behind a human face? <br />A person’s deed is seen and felt by few <br />But it can also change the world into something new <br />I wonder what I will do to make the world great <br />Maybe nothing, maybe something, I will leave it to fate <br />The most beautiful thing is the dreams of a kid <br />Behind the bright and shining eyes they are hid <br />I try to remember the dreams I once had <br />Before they were crushed by this world gone bad <br />I remember I was going to make this world a friendly place <br />Make everyone happy and fly into outer space <br />I think people need to embrace their dreams more <br />And then one day there will be no more war <br />I know that some people are good and some are bad <br />Many people are happy and many more are sad <br />These things are always on the mind <br />Someday I hope the answers I will find <br />So on these long lazy days I sit <br />Searching my soul finding the pieces that fit<br /><br />Justin Rink<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/soul-searching-4/
