We have been in this world for so long, <br />That we know whats around every turn. <br />We know it is either good or bad <br />And never in between. <br />We can be anything that we want <br />But sometimes we dont work hard enough. <br />But we also know that no matter what <br />We will always have someone to lean on. <br /> <br />We can make this world whatever we want <br />Something that only we have the access to. <br />And no one has a mind like ours, <br />So unique in every kind of way. <br />Anything our hearts desire is placed here, <br />And no one can ever tear that away. <br />If we let the outside in on our little world, <br />They wouldn't be able to understand us at all. <br /> <br />Watching us with envy is the day and night sky. <br />Because they can't have a world as perfect as ours. <br />Only we can laugh and be happy here, <br />Because only we understand what it is about. <br />And only we have each other <br />Because sometimes it seems as no one cares. <br />Because they dont even realize that <br />We are living a different kind of world <br /> <br />Written September 16th,2007<br /><br />Dani Miller<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-different-kind-of-world/
