Our starry coulds and oeros, <br />Are Things only we can understand. <br />Climbing trees that look over lakes, <br />And learning how to salsa dance. <br /> <br />Turn that lake into ice, <br />So I can learn to skate. <br />You promise you wont let go, <br />So in that I give my faith. <br /> <br />We could never make shapes in clouds, <br />But now its a favorite thing to do. <br />One look to the day or night sky, <br />Brings pleasent memories of you. <br /> <br />You've got your work cut out for you. <br />I need to learn many things. <br />You have to teach me spanish, <br />Oh, and dont forget japanese. <br /> <br />But I have to teach you something, <br />Like how to ride a bike. <br />I swear I wont let go, <br />Ill hold on with all my might. <br /> <br />But I have also taught you a method, <br />On how to eat the perfect oreo. <br />Twenty seconds in the milk, <br />Perfectly soft and good to go. <br /> <br />And although we are miles apart, <br />There is that eye in the clouds. <br />So full of jealousy and rage, <br />That we make the rain pour down. <br /> <br />And although different people read this, <br />I know they may not be able to get it. <br />But as you read what I have written, <br />I know you completely get this. <br /> <br />For all I know they may not understand me, <br />For I am this poems provider. <br />How would they understand anyway? <br />Only we would, these are our insiders. <br /> <br />Written September 17th,2007<br /><br />Dani Miller<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/insiders/
