In the face of an anger <br />that I can do nothing to ease, <br />and all the black hatred <br />directed straight towards me; <br />in the midst of a balance <br />tilting away, <br />and more pain and more loathing <br />eating my head; <br />I struggle to breathe <br />and struggle to cry, <br />and forget all the agony, <br />to just let it by. <br /> <br />Yet all of it come to me, <br />tide after tide, <br />and all the tears fall from me, <br />stars from the sky, <br />and ne'er shall old feelings live, <br />for they've all lost their way, <br />pulled crashing down to me <br />by pain's gravity. <br /> <br />The mask I so tried to keep <br />solid and calm, is <br />breaking away into all <br />pieces and shards. <br />A young star has fallen from <br />deep in the space, and <br />all its gold debris <br />shall die as it wanders <br />in cold, cold, cold <br />dark, dark, dark <br />nothingness.<br /><br />Yiling Ding<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-young-star-has-fallen/
