I rolled out of bed waking up fresh <br />Not knowing what was in store for me today <br />But Murphy had a different plan <br />For I should have stayed in bed the rest of the day <br /> <br />But instead I got dressed for work <br />And headed downstairs for a small snack <br />Poured a bowl of cereal, wanting to drown it in milk <br />Only to find the milk on the counter in the grocery sack <br /> <br />So I leave to work, with plenty of time <br />Stopping at the Mc Donald’s drive though <br />Ordering a sausage biscuit with cheese <br />Biting into a crusty biscuit not even a dog could chew <br /> <br />The morning meeting went without a hitch <br />So I thought my day was getting better <br />Until my boss called me into his office <br />Handing me a notice of downsizing letter <br /> <br />So I boxed up my personal items <br />And headed out of the building to my car <br />It was then that I new things could get worse <br />Someone had broken into my car with a pry bar <br /> <br />There was only one thing left to do <br />Just succumb to Murphy’s Law <br />Go back to the empty house <br />Stay out of sight and withdraw<br /><br />C.R.
