Oh Ramadhan! A month full of wonders. <br />In its hunger I get to ponder. <br />It gives me an opportunity to look yonder. <br />And set my affairs in order. <br />Oh Ramadhan! <br />If your sins are as high as your shoulder, <br />Heavier than a boulder, <br />Spread through the land like toddlers. <br />All you need to say is 'Allahuma': <br />Oh the creator of jinns and humans. <br />'Innaka Affuwun': you are forgiving. <br />The reason we are still living. <br />'Tuh'ibbul afwa': you love forgiveness. <br />The essence of our continued existence. <br />'Fa'affu 'anni': so forgive me. <br /> <br />That is all I want for me <br />And all I need. <br />That's what clears all my misdeeds. <br />You are the most forgiving, indeed. <br />You forgive even if our acts are cruel and mean. <br />The reason I never bothered when they said am lean. <br />'Coz all I want is your favour on me. <br />Oh Allah!<br /><br />Abdulmajeed Soladoye<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/oh-ramadhan/
