I want to be more like Jesus. <br />I want to exhibit His many traits. <br />I want to show others that I care, <br />By sharing my belief and faith. <br /> <br />I want to walk the Christian way, <br />And to my Savior stay true. <br />For when He walked here on this earth, <br />He lived His life as I want to do. <br /> <br />I will try to think of others first, <br />And minister to their needs. <br />Jesus would want me to die to self <br />And follow His loving lead. <br /> <br />I will not worry about my plight <br />When others are suffering more. <br />Instead I’ll be more like Jesus, <br />I’ll reach out to the sick and poor. <br /> <br />Jesus was always compassionate. <br />I will strive to be more like Him. <br />I will be a lantern for my Lord, <br />Never letting His light grow dim. <br /> <br />When others can look at me and see, <br />My dear Savior’s love and grace, <br />I’ll know I’m finally following <br />His teachings, I’ve tried to embrace.<br /><br />Tafadzwa Mhondiwa Mugari<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/more-like-jesus-2/
