There are things in our lives that happen <br />That can cause us to run and hide <br />But there's a strength that runs right through us <br />‘cause Jesus is by our side. <br /> <br />He’s always there when times are tough <br />And when the times are good <br />We should remember to pull our strength from Him <br />Because He says we always should. <br /> <br />He gives us the power to overcome <br />He opens our eyes to see <br />What it is our lives are now <br />And what our lives should be. <br /> <br />Our time is only temporary <br />As we walk upon this earth <br />He’s been guiding our lives to be the best we can <br />From the time of our own birth. <br /> <br />So, find some happiness within yourself <br />‘cause you know how hard you’ve tried <br />Then, take peace in knowing the Lord is here <br />And that He’s standing right by your side.<br /><br />Roger Horsch<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/by-your-side-29/
