These cuts on my wrist, <br />Sting as you, <br />Rub salt in them, <br />Salt from tears I’ve cried, <br />Time to dry my eyes, <br />No more will I hide, <br />From harsh words, <br />That you lied, <br />I’m leaving it behind, <br />As I run away. <br /> <br />Time to make a change, <br />Time to strike a pose, <br />Time to smile and laugh, <br />Time to forget those, <br />Those who’ve left me to waste, <br />Those who brought me so far down, <br />Time to lift me up, <br />Off of this dirty, <br />Bloody ground. <br /> <br />The blood that runs, <br />Hot from veins, <br />The pulse of my heart, <br />Pumping the blood faster, <br />As I run, <br />Far away from those who try to hurt me, <br />With words and lies, <br />They cut my sides, <br />They swat at my hands, <br />As I reach for hope, <br />Time to wash the blood away, <br />As I start a new day. <br /> <br />Time to stop, <br />Stop lying to myself, <br />Saying I’m alright, <br />When I am really not, <br />Time to make it, <br />Make it stop, <br />The pain and lies, <br />The high I get, <br />When I bleed, <br />I can’t do this, <br />Not anymore, <br />Time to change. <br /> <br />I know, <br />I know I should stand, <br />Tall against them, <br />The ones I run from, <br />I shouldn’t run, <br />I should fight, <br />But my strength and might, <br />Have left me in a sudden burst, <br />Of fear, <br />Fear for my sanity, <br />Which as we speak, <br />Hangs in the balance, <br />Of being lost, <br />And letting go. <br /> <br />Time to stand up, <br />Time to strike a pose, <br />Time to Laugh and Smile, <br />Time to scream at those, <br />Those who have hurt me, <br />Who left me all alone, <br />Those who made me crazy, <br />Those who put me in this, <br />Bloody hole. <br /> <br />Time for change. <br /> <br />I need a change. <br /> <br />Come on and change. <br /> <br />Take on a change. <br /> <br />Headstrong change. <br /> <br />Lifelong change. <br /> <br />Please just change. <br /> <br />Time for change.<br /><br />Emily E.
