REKINDLING THAT DIVINE SPARK <br /> <br />We have spent many centuries trying to speculate <br />and find, <br />The secrets of the universe and mankind! <br />And whenever we found some plausible <br />explanations, <br />With pride we have patted our backs without a <br />single exception! <br />Whereas in reality we have only known, - <br />Less and less of the unknown and the undefined! <br />And whenever we have failed, we have always <br />dismissed things, <br />As mere mysterious and fictitious stuff, which <br />only Fiction prints! <br />Always forgetting that the Supreme Being, - <br />Lies beyond our scientific probings and equations; <br />Look and marvel at His wonderous creations! <br />Remember, God from the minute speck of an atom, - <br />His Divine Microchip; <br />Carved out the entire cosmos as per His scheme of <br />things to create, <br />A feat which humans can neither duplicate, nor <br />ever replicate! <br />And today after centuries of scientific research, <br />Science has found energy behind matter, and <br />matter behind energy ; <br />Both the converse and reverse, which lay embedded <br />in His creative imagery! <br />And while we try to travel at speeds faster than light; <br />In a mere blink of Lord Krishna's eyes, - <br />Centuries and eons simply roll by! <br />Though the sky remains as the limit of our hopes <br />and aspirations, <br />Let us not assume the role of the Creator out of <br />desparation! <br />But try to delve within, to rekindle that divine <br />spark, <br />To know Him better still, through His divine <br />creations; <br />And not like those blind men with an elephant, <br />groping in the dark; <br />Debating forever over our divergent thoughts <br />and deliberations! <br /> <br /> <br /> -Raj Nandy <br /> New Delhi <br /> 10 May 08<br /><br />RAJ NANDY<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/rekindling-the-divine-spark/
