Some say that Love is only a hyped-up thing, <br />When the soft music plays in your head <br />all day; <br />It has been bonsaied and commercialized, <br />And sold out to all on Valentine’s Day! <br />Love, they say, has a short shelf-life, <br />With an illusion that it will forever last! <br />It motivates only to propagate the race, <br />For continuance of the species always comes <br />first! <br />And all its mysteries and fantasies, are only <br />a publicized false pretext! <br />For it only revolves around, those three little <br />words we call Sex! <br /> <br />Platonic Love unites the soul, <br />And is equated with love divine! <br />A God sent love to a chosen few, <br />Reputed to last through space and time! <br /> <br />But notwithstanding all these things, <br />Which you hear about Love often being said, <br />When lovers meet and hug and kiss, <br />They both get swept off their feet … <br />And while it lasts, it simply Feels Great!<br /><br />RAJ NANDY<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/defining-love-2/
