We know His name yet to our shame <br />Wander as in the night <br />Denying others Heaven’s Flame <br />And walking in The Light <br /> <br />God gives His Shepherds sheep to keep <br />To feed along The Way <br />But like Bo Peep who lost her sheep <br />Ours are found to stray <br /> <br />From bibles of a by gone age <br />In language all but gone <br />We blunder through most every page <br />To glorify God’s Son <br /> <br />Though all have welcome on the mat <br />Though all sing sweet their song <br />One church says this, another that <br />Amidst the maddening throng <br /> <br />We teach that smoking is a sin <br />Also beer and wine <br />And so we bar a soul within <br />Who’d otherwise be fine <br /> <br />Sitting in pews till sleek and fat <br />Deceived we fall not short <br />We’ll sieve a gnat but not a rat <br />Like those of whom Christ taught <br /> <br />We need to practice what we preach <br />With service first in mind <br />Live The Way that we may reach <br />Those weary lost and blind <br /> <br />We’re here to do The Father’s will <br />Our Saviour to obey <br />God’s fold with precious sheep to fill <br />And teach them on The Way<br /><br />Michael P.
