A tapping at the door <br />Was a prelude to what was in store <br />In a panic you did profess <br />Absent car keys made you mind a mess <br /> <br />Can’t believe that they are missing <br />Yesterdays ventures you are reminiscing <br />You ask hopefully, if we have a spare set <br />From which to copy so you won’t fret <br /> <br />It has been such a long time since we owned <br />The car whose silence now causes you to moan <br />At the bottom of the key cup are untagged possibilities <br />See if they cure the disabled automobile’s capabilities <br /> <br />Wonder of all wonders, the unmarked keys mark success <br />Your cheerful voice echoes with glee relieving stress <br />A promise to duplicate and return ours for safekeeping <br />In a rush you are on your way, hours are quickly fleeting <br /> <br />Later, your humming car arrives, delivering you from despair… <br />'Hold on to these keys in case I ever a need for a spare.' <br />Reaching into your pants pocket your original keys appear <br />In a moment of revelation your eyes stare, as you feel queer <br /> <br />How can this be?
