I have just learnt that later tonight <br />the earth will cover the moon. <br />It will be so horridly dark, <br />all the ladies are likely to swoon. <br />And the children will laugh <br />to see such fun, <br />when the earth covers the sun, <br />and throws into darkness the moon. <br />When its light is put out, <br />darkness, will descend in the night, <br />and as it comes out, returning to light, <br />we will see a dark dawn, with a moon.<br /><br />David Taylor<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/dark-dawn/
