A conflict carried on by force of arms <br />Terrorizes any and everyone it harms <br />Sometimes they fight for land or they fight for peace <br />That's like a homo-phoebe pledgin gays should be able to marry at least <br />It's subliminally engraved into the children's minds <br />Whoever disagrees I have a whole land of signs <br />So many military games out now like Ghost recon or Call of duty <br />Bang Bang shoot em up is what they’re sayin to us truly <br />So many people get that call and I hear the people cries <br />Because when the rich wage war it's the poor who dies <br />Then they hate it when the people try to get them to see what they see <br />But the peoples word counts that's why we set up democracy <br />It takes away peoples dignity, their lovers, and their lives <br />It's destroyin Men and woman, children, husbands and wives <br />Then they expect everyone should be all for it all of our days <br />But we don't have to be for it we never wanted it anyways <br />But we're only 'little people' none of us mean a thing <br />They all hate our guts but they sing let freedom ring <br />Don't you see it doesn't matter what anyone thinks <br />It doesn't matter if the governments wrong or the president stinks <br />Now we got people goin and fightin all the way over seas <br />And people are dyin more frequently than from the deadliest disease <br />And it’s not just country to country or from churches or domes <br />The people in this world are witnessin this in their own homes <br />It's all about what they say but we don't want that anymore <br />Cause this dirty thing in this world is a three letter word, WAR! <br /> <br /> <br />(6-18-07)<br /><br />Corey Threet<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/war-265/
