Just Duckies (Rant) <br /> <br /> <br />I came with one goal in mind tonight <br />To read some poems here on this PH site <br />But with every turn of the page <br />I just became more enraged <br /> <br />I would proceed with caution to the poet of my choice <br />Get all the way to read and rejoice <br />But then I would have to scroll down <br />And my smile now turns to a frown <br /> <br />With just one click of the scroll <br />Up pops a screen and it's not a troll <br />Cute little yellow duckies all in a row <br />Moving across the screen so slow <br /> <br />Little red targets on their side <br />Now what do I decide? <br />Shoot them down and win a prize <br />Dinner for two, who knows what size? <br /> <br />NO.....I think not....thank you <br />Click the screen off so I can resume <br />To just what it was I came here for <br />To read poetry all the more <br /> <br />So on and on this story goes <br />Read a poem...NO...back to the duckies all in a row <br />I guess tonight is not my night to get lucky <br />Because all I'm stuck with is annoying duckies <br /> <br /> <br />30 June 2007<br /><br />JoJo Bean<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/just-duckies-rant/
