Inner beauty or outer beauty, <br />Which do you prefer? <br />Looks or character, <br />Don’t they differ? <br />On the spur of a moment, <br />What if I asked you these questions? <br /> <br />Do you have beautiful friends or <br />do they really need amends? <br />We call mother nature beautiful but yet, <br />I ask you is it really beautiful? <br />Does it have a good heart or <br />Good values? <br />Have we forgotten what beauty is? <br /> <br />What is beauty? <br />Beauty is character <br />And not looks, <br />Like it says so in some books <br />Or television programmes. <br />But why do we fail to realize that? <br />Is it because the dictionary does not state that? <br />Or because we do not want to accept <br />Such a meaning? <br /> <br />If I asked you to take a glance at Emma Watson, <br />Would you claim that she is as beautiful as Boston? <br />More beautiful than that would be the answer but why? <br />God made us in his own image so <br />Aren’t we all born beautiful? <br />The name Ugly Betty isn’t logical but more tragical. <br />Shouldn’t it be called Beautiful Betty? Is everyone so poor in their English to not know the difference between beautiful and ugly? <br /> <br />Are all female celebrities beautiful? <br />Or are they really the opposite-ful? <br />Does make-up make them beautiful? <br />If it does, then we should all put it, then we will all be beautiful. The word ugly will be preserved. <br /> <br />Men most usually want to marry beautiful women. <br />Beautiful in what way? What sense? <br />Beautiful because they can qualify for Miss Universe <br />Or beautiful because they have good morals? <br />Think about it. If God gave you a choice between being <br />Drop-dead gorgeous but totally atrocious and ‘beautiful’ but pretty, what would your answer be? <br /> <br />Note: This is a poem I wrote myself for school.
