Exotic cuisines were spread out, <br />but the careless rich had no appetite <br />In another part of the city, <br />there were endless days of hunger and not a morsel to eat <br /> <br />Books are aplenty but there is no thirst for knowledge <br />Knowledge some have but no understanding <br /> <br />We all have a religion <br />but there is no sign of GOD <br />GOD said I have numerous devotees <br />but none have real devotion <br />They try to outdo the neighbour in show of religious fervour <br />but I know in their heart of hearts live money, wife, children, business; Not ME <br /> <br />We all have enemies and enough ammunition to destroy the whole world <br />But there are no bridges of friendship, peace
