She was very poor, <br />She has nothing to eat and drink, <br />Her brave husband, <br />Was killed in the Kashmir valley, <br />Braving for the unity and honor of the nation. <br /> <br />The traders of blood, wrote a tribute on a stone, <br />Mocking his martyrdom, <br />But there was no one to wipe her tears. <br />Her father and brother were <br />Butchered by the government agents <br />As they had no money to bribe them. <br /> <br />Her children died unemployed <br />As they were meritorious and honest. <br />Vultures made a film about them, <br />To entertain the world and win laurels and laugh. <br />Their photographs can be seen, <br />At an art exhibition in Delhi. <br /> <br />Then the president gave a certificate, <br />To laugh at her pain, <br />Still she was very poor, <br />She was the widow of a warrior, <br />Not a vote bank.. <br /> <br />From: <br />DR.
