I can hear spring echoing in <br />At last- <br />The Winter too long it stayed- <br />Upon the hills and vales- <br />The echo's of Spring <br />Replays... <br /> <br />The frost that belonged to Winter Jack- <br />Has all but melted today- <br />A resurrection of Daffodils- <br />Can be seen In fields of Yellow Display... <br /> <br />Pink blossoms upon the trees once bare- <br />No nakedness any more- <br />Embellished with aromatic blooms- <br />Cherry Blossoms They Adorn... <br /> <br />Winters-bleak and dank bare Grey- <br />Has melted from Eastertide Sun- <br />And been welcomed in with Merry Mirth- <br />By God's Most holy One... <br /> <br />Cerulean skies dance the earth- <br />While Emerald green the grass it shines- <br />Butter Yellow rays blanket the days- <br />Teal Green grows the ivy upon the vine... <br /> <br />Resplendent in the morning dew- <br />Welcomed by Butterfly and Bee- <br />A Nation of Springtime Blossoming- <br />Affirming what my eyes can truly see!<br /><br />Theodora (Theo) Onken<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/spring-at-last/
