This morning I rose <br />Full of trepidation for <br />The day ahead <br />So many hurdles to cross <br />Daunting tasks <br />I would rather have <br />Left undone. <br />And as I tackled one <br />Another new one would <br />Rise in its place <br />To be resolved <br />Maybe tomorrow. <br /> <br />This morning I rose <br />With a glow, <br />Stretching my hours <br />Of delight as far <br />As they would go, <br />Delaying other realities <br />That split my life <br />Into segments <br />Each of a different hue. <br /> <br />This night I lay me down <br />Feeling at one <br />The day has come full circle <br />And I am at peace <br />Tomorrow the circle will start again <br />But for this night at least <br />My soul is quiet<br /><br />Susan Ash<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/today-88/
