Returning to the love that I once lost. Will it be better this time, or will it end the same. Will I be hurt again, please let my heart be strong. I saw my old love, standing in the checkout line at Safeway. She looked as beautiful as ever. Watching her talk to the cashier. I remembered how I once loved her. My heart it led me as I went up to her. “Hello, how you been? ” I asked. We struck up a conversation about the good times we had. I gave her my new number, and she gave me hers. We talked and we talked. I helped her carry her things to her car. She got in her car, but before she drove away, she said, “How about we get together for coffee sometime. I said, “Sure that’s great any time.” Waving as she dove away, I then got into my own car. I went home to my apartment.
