When I look around I see people around me and yet I am alone. <br />Alone in a world that depending on how you see it will either make you or break you. <br />The alone I have is something that takes time and God to relieve, <br />The people in my life have done nothing but deceive. <br />I have my child, but it is not his responsibility, <br />For me to lean on and let him be here for me. <br />It is an empty feeling that cannot be described, <br />Can't even be fixed with pills my dr. prescribes. <br />So what do I do, where do I turn, <br />Alone so bad that it often burns. <br />Leaving scars that can't be taken away, <br />Maybe will make me stronger some day? <br />Why can't it be that our roots never leave? <br />Why do our loved ones have to go, <br />And why did God make it where it would hurt so? <br />This hole of loneliness is so big and wide, <br />That sometimes I cry so hard I cannot open my eyes. <br />Reaching out in the darkness and not knowing where, <br />Trying to fill the loneliness, sadness and despair. <br />Alone. <br />Everyone who promised they would be there, <br />Grief has taken their hearts as well and this we cannot share. <br /> <br />The beauty of it all is that there are small things, <br />Small things like my butterfly wings. <br />They are brilliant with colors of variety, <br />For me to share with the world, not just to keep for me. <br />So I will keep drifting, <br />Maybe I will land in a tree, <br />Perhaps make a friend with a bumble bee.. <br />Or maybe an inchworm, <br />That might work, Or a walking stick that can carry on a conversation, <br />That might fill my Alone sensation. <br />Til that time comes, I will drift along. <br />Singing my All Alone song. <br />Wishing and Praying for the day to come, <br />That I find my prince and we go to our Kingdom.<br /><br />Butterflies In My Belly Forever<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/alone-475/
