The one who stole my heart <br />And never gave it back. <br />The one who’s heart I may not hold <br />Yet mine she has in her hands. <br /> <br />I found myself caught <br />In a web <br />A web called love. <br />A web who’s cruel silk entraps not my body, <br />But my heart and soul. <br /> <br />The wielder of this web <br />The web that has trapped me <br />Is a soul who will not share their heart with me. <br />A soul who’s innocence and kindness <br />Masks over her cruelty and evil. <br />A soul who makes me suffer the most… <br />Yet I wish she was always there. <br /> <br />I look at the wielder <br />Her eyes pure and clear. <br />I look at her and ask: <br />“Why are you so cruel? ” <br />“Why have you entangled my heart” <br />“Yet won’t give me yours? ” <br /> <br />The wielder, with a smile that would melt <br />Even the coldest of fiends <br />Would simply say those cursed words, <br />“I just want to be your friend…” <br /> <br />The One who stole my heart. <br />The one who never gave it back. <br />She is cruel in everyway… <br />Yet, she’ll always be… <br />The one to keep my heart… <br />Forever.<br /><br />Jeffrey Martinez<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-one-who-stole-my-heart/
