I use to lay in my bed, every night <br />and cry when they, turn out the light. <br /> <br />Had crazy thoughts, in my head <br />of the things, under my bed. <br /> <br />But you put them there and i blame you <br />cruel things you did and i know it's true. <br /> <br />Came in my room, something over your head <br />scare me to death and i would wet the bed. <br /> <br />You got mad one night and slung me in the floor <br />told me you wasn't putting up, with me anymore. <br /> <br />You grabbed me, by the throat that night <br />and you held me there, till i lost sight. <br /> <br />Said i couldn't sleep, in the bed anymore <br />and from that night on, i laid in the floor. <br /> <br />Can't remember a night, I never made you mad <br />you gave me the worse life a child ever had. <br /> <br />You beat on a kid, made you look tough <br />and your kicks in the back really got rough. <br /> <br />Said you couldn't see me, because of no light <br />knew where i was, you put me there every night. <br /> <br />Laid there at night and remembered what you said <br />had a thought one night, to come burn your bed. <br /> <br />What a sad thought, for a little child to think <br />of all the stupid things, you did when you drank.<br /><br />Tracy Rollings<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/sad-to-think-child-abuse/
