Why me Lord, tell me what did I do <br />I did my best and I've always been true. <br /> <br />Why me Lord, why so much pain <br />things I do, can't always explain. <br /> <br />So sit with me a while and tell me please <br />what in the world, can I do to make it ease. <br /> <br />All of my childhood, has gone away <br />can't ever get it back and yet I still pay. <br /> <br />So tell me Lord, when will it end <br />all I ever wanted, was to have a friend. <br /> <br />Please tell me, now that I've grown <br />I still love you, but the pain isn't gone. <br /> <br />I need to know, how we can fix this <br />can't go on, with my life at risk. <br /> <br />Tell me Lord, can you help now <br />the pain I have, is getting me down. <br /> <br />I know you love me and my heart isn't pure <br />but I pray that you, will send me a cure. <br /> <br />It's so hard for me, to try understand <br />I live in this pain, even now as a man. <br /> <br />From the time I was born, till this very day <br />I keep asking why, but no one can say. <br /> <br />But I pray to you Lord, about every night <br />we can work together and make things right. <br /> <br />Well I have to go now, have things to do <br />it's always a pleasure, just to talk with you.<br /><br />Tracy Rollings<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/why-me-lord/
