Life is hard, it always has been <br />And we struggle with so many things <br />We feel over-whelmed sometimes <br />For what our daily life brings <br /> <br />So busy keeping a roof over-head <br />And keeping the children fed <br />Unfulfilled at the end of the day <br />And fall exhausted into our beds <br /> <br />So many decisions we have to make <br />Sometimes we’re not sure if they’re right <br />It seems like there isn’t any time <br />To notice the sun is fresh and bright <br /> <br />But you know, we need to stop <br />Just stop once or twice a day <br />Thank God for the good things we have <br />Let Him help us to find the best way <br /> <br />Life is beautiful if we stop to notice <br />Like cherries in a over-brimming bowl <br />Sweet and lovely and bright <br />There’s always a time to be thankful!<br /><br />Marilyn Lott<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-time-to-be-thankful/
