It was white and fresh and new <br />As it blanketed the land <br />It looked like delicious sculptures <br />So refreshing and so grand <br /> <br />Everyone took a deep breath <br />As they ventured outside that day <br />Beautiful, it was beyond words <br />Some wished that it could stay <br /> <br />Tree’s were dressed for winter <br />With their snowy over-coats <br />They looked just like a postcard <br />Or a Christmas card someone wrote <br /> <br />As I walked along I noticed <br />A picnic table there <br />So thick and white and lovely <br />Why, I really had to stare <br /> <br />Oh, you should have seen, my friend <br />The frozen pond just beyond <br />Ducks were trying to swim <br />Not knowing if they belonged <br /> <br />It was a day I’ll long remember <br />For it captured my heart for sure <br />That day amidst the winter <br />As I enjoyed the snow sculptures!<br /><br />Marilyn Lott<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/snow-sculptures/
