What a hardworking guy he was <br />My dad, is who I mean <br />He’s gone now, you know <br />Some things seem like a dream <br /> <br />But as I go through the pictures <br />That were taken years ago <br />So many memories surface <br />And I just kinda let them flow <br /> <br />Watching him on his tractor <br />Out in the golden wheat fields <br />Oh how he loved being a farmer <br />Enjoyed what those crops could yield <br /> <br />So as I sort through old photos <br />So many in black and white <br />I just settle back in my chair <br />Thinking about how life takes flight <br /> <br />The years go by so quickly <br />But I don’t want to feel sad <br />For some day we’ll all be together <br />For now I’ll enjoy pictures of my dad!<br /><br />Marilyn Lott<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/my-dad-32/
