Do you ever wonder about windmills? <br />How they work and what they do <br />They are truly exciting I think <br />Designed for me and for you <br /> <br />They go way back into time <br />With features quite different from today <br />Many intricate parts they once had <br />They could have just been on display <br /> <br />For they are beautiful and charming <br />They stick out in a field of wheat <br />By a water barrel to water the cows <br />As they gather ‘round and meet <br /> <br />And the sound of a windmill whirring <br />Is so beautiful, don’t you think? <br />So soothing to the animals <br />As they come to the water to drink <br /> <br />And oh, against a lovely sunset sky <br />You see them way out yonder <br />They are part of what a farm should have <br />Those wonderful windmill wonders!<br /><br />Marilyn Lott<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/windmill-wonders/
