We woke up to a world of snow <br />Everything came to a crawl <br />Layers of pristine blankets <br />It was quite unbelievable <br /> <br />For softly through the night <br />It fell for hours on end <br />There was a transformation <br />Of a solid arctic blend <br /> <br />We couldn’t move our cars <br />The children had to stay home <br />For school was swiftly cancelled <br />They were perfectly free to roam <br /> <br />Building projects stopped as well <br />Too difficult to continue <br />Instead folks sat in coffee shops <br />Searching hot drinks on the menu <br /> <br />Yes, it was a wonderful snowy world <br />And would only last for awhile <br />It’s a chance to stop and enjoy <br />Mother Nature’s winter style!<br /><br />Marilyn Lott<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/winter-style/
