In the still of the night,
The crickets sing their melody,
And fireflies light up the lakeside,
Under the whispering trees,
Of the yawning lake,
Our last rendezvous together,
Welcomes us to this sweet endeavor.

Holding your hands,
I sense a weak trembling,
Walking into the shallow lake,
Its waves shake my heart,
The warmth of the water,
And the fishes swimming in it,
Safe but never shall they be free.

Words cannot be heard,
In this beauty of silence,
Your eyes tell me so much,
Glittering in the full moon,
Drops of Jupiter fall,
From these watery eyes.

As these tears run down my cheeks,
So will our moment come to an end,
When night fades away,
The blue moon will glow no more,
With your shadow gone forever……
This coward could not tell you,
To stay and never leave his company,
To say… “ I love you…”

the poet

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/under-the-blue-moon/
