Herod wanted respect <br />He wanted to be esteemed <br />He alone would rule the empire <br />He would be the only King <br /> <br />How could someone else come <br />to claim the honored throne <br />Herod was born to rule <br />and He would do it alone <br /> <br />Who was this Baby <br />that the wisemen went to see <br />why did they bring gifts to Him <br />and worship at his feet? <br /> <br />Herod would stop this king <br />and kill all children under two <br />nothing would stop his power <br />and he'd see to it too. <br /> <br />But God was with Mary and Joseph <br />during that horrible time <br />he'd lead them where they were to go <br />the Babe would be just fine <br /> <br />After King Herod's death <br />and from Israel to Galilee <br />the Babe would live in Nazareth <br />'He will be called a Nazarene' <br /> <br />Nothing coud stop the plans of God <br />so no matter what it seems <br />only God knows the plan of men <br />just read the prophecies <br /> <br />The Bible tells us of God's great love <br />and his hatred for wicked sin <br />it also tells us God's remedy <br />to bring us unto Him <br /> <br />God would send JESUS for us <br />and to all who believed <br />they would have a brand new start <br />Salvation would set them free <br /> <br />No longer to be ruled by <br /> this world's wicked system <br />but by a Holy King <br />all who believed in JESUS <br />would now worship the King! <br /> <br />Jesus is the Saviour <br />Born to save us from our sins <br />He came to give His love to us <br />He came not to condemn <br /> <br />Sin is the enemy <br />Satan and his ploys <br />but you don't have to <br />listen to the devil <br />or his boys <br /> <br />You can get on the Lord's side <br />it's found in Roman's 10: 9 <br /> <br />' For if you confess with your mouth <br />that Jesus is Lord and believe in <br />your heart that God raised Him <br />from the dead, you will be saved' <br /> <br />God has made a way for us through Christ Jesus<br /><br />Debbie Bennett<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-king-for-the-people/
