#1

endless blue,
the colour of the sky,
your eyes, so close
our lashes tangle
in the blink
that ends the dream
my lips still
parted for your touch
a kiss forever
etched in thought
of passion that has
flared and still
lingers in the
dark damp halls
of memory, mind
open to the sky
and endless blue
the colour of
your eyes.

#2

I drown in memories
of eyes so blue
they swallowed me
like sky eats clouds
and spits out
trailers
kite tails for the wind
to play with
play nice and do not bite
the gentle hand
that brings you love
in deep caresses
grasping at the heart
a thudding rhythm
at the center, red
as blood warm as
the sweat that
gathers at the corner
of the blue
to swell, to tremble,
fall, teardropp perfection
on my face,
salt to season love.

#3

Blue light surrounds my soul
I breathe the air of cool
and blue
both me and you
combining in the surface
of your eyes reflection
of my own.The brown of
woodland pools with studs
of gold and green
collects the blue
and sends it back
perfumed with the rich
ripe scent of life
waiting to flare
across the skin
a fire to bathe in
burn in
to be born in
brown and blue.

#4

Is it just your eyes
your mind,
that I inhabit?
Am I just a dream
once seen, graven
on the inside of your lids
taken out
on dark nights
enjoyed in stereo?
A voice imagined
in the shadows
while the mind plays tricks
with light and colour?
I sleep in dreams of blue
that comfort me
carry me from one morn
to the next and moons
wax and wane
unceasing in my slumber.

Midnight Clarity

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-series-in-blue/
