Floating high in the sky, touching clouds and poking planes <br />Smiling as I fly, thinking of the day you were found <br />Discovered unexpectedly, my soul leaping with joy <br />Looking down on the trees, on the deep shades of green <br />Scraping leaves and catching birds <br />What have I seen? <br />Floating high in the sky, feeling gravity push me lower <br />Lower and lower I go, falling and spinning to the ground <br />Like a branch falling from it's tree <br />A loud thump on the ground, in the soft grass <br />Turn my head and find pink ants crawling on my skin <br />What have I seen? <br />I awoke for the first time from this floating high <br />A lovely high it was, a first deep breath, burning and chilling <br />Would you like to float with me, just for awhile?<br /><br />Jennifer Unknown<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/floating-high/
