On this beach
Where the moon sits low
I can feel her love
But, just can't tell her so

As each wave
Splashes upon the shore
As each wave splashes
Makes me miss her even more

As the wind
Blows sands all around
I feel her love
Without making a sound

On this beach
Where we first met
I can feel her love
Like that first day, yet

Though it's been years, now
Since she's been gone
I still miss her so
It will never matter how long

A killer took her away
But, our love still remains
I guess it always will
In my heart, and in my brain

I sit here on this beach
As I think of her each night
How she loved so much
As she put up her fight

I see her lovely face
Reflecting on the ocean waves
Knowing for what she stood for
And just how much she gave

On this beach
Is where she was buried
With her headstone in place
Over the spot we were married

So I sit and visit her
Sitting right here in my chair
Telling her that someday
I hope to meet her there

Written 3/8/2014 by Norman Hale Jr.

norman hale

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/on-this-beach-3/
