Melissa Coventry - Mother Nature

As Mother Nature relinquishes,
Her ultimate power over her man,
Sending the skies raining,
Air full of electrifying delight,
As if she is making love to the land.
Is the way I make love to you.
And she does when she choices,
Not a moment too soon,
Leaving the Earth dry and anguished,
Looking up into the heavens,
Hungry for replenishing,
Is the look I see in you.

As Mother Nature bequests her ways,
Pleasuring Earth with her womanly softness,
Bringing beautiful springs and crisp winds,
I let you taste breathtaking affections,
Wielding onto you rays of sweetness,
In always unanticipated spontaneity,
I see rise of reaction, adoration in you.

Yet as Mother Nature always intended,
To never play by mans rules,
Sending lighting down in fury,
Gail winds and damage,
All the while being sinisterly vain,
Plenteous with heartbreak,
As I do, filling your chalice with hope.

Then while Mother Nature gives,
Some their wishes of precipitation,
Or deprives others of the prophecy of rain,
She shall never let come.
I only tempt you with stimulating charm,
That chance of tasting my affections,
While your mind turns to fragments.

Lastly as Mother Nature is contented,
Praising the strongest and survivors,
With a bounty of the new virtues,
I see the hope in your eyes,
That I might someday wholeheartedly,
Turn eternally to your arms.

Melissa Coventry

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/mother-nature-25/
