IMAGINE IF THE WORLD IS EMPTY <br />Melvin Banggollay <br /> <br /> <br />Close thy eyes and imagine <br />But you know not where to begin <br />As the world you're now living in <br />is filled with emptiness and nothing <br />No one to share your every dream <br />No one to hear your laughter <br />To talk with as there are no others <br />Not even a star that shines or glitters <br />upon the vast space that towers <br />where no one hears your prayers. <br /> <br />Imagine if you behold no smile <br />Even if you have to travel a mile <br />Searching for someone's fire <br />of burning romance with desire <br />for there's no one else but you <br />to see the emptiness life bestow <br />with cowing thunder of sorrow <br />Do you still wish to live and go <br />in the ocean of life you knew? <br /> <br />Imagine what life would be <br />If there is no God for you and me <br />Where we behold hope to see <br />Grace and mercy of the Almighty. <br /> <br />Imagine a life without mission <br />Without a sense of vision <br />A life without any conviction <br />Can we go the right direction? <br />What if the world is truly empty <br />With nothing but remnant of war <br />Lifeless bodies lying everywhere <br />in crippled building of bomb attacks <br />from heartless terrorist of the block? <br /> <br />What if all that live are terrorists <br />With guns and goons at their feet <br />Life would be survival of the fittest <br />as there is no love and forgiveness. <br /> <br />Ahhh, i don't want to imagine <br />It would just brake my tender heart.<br /><br />MELVIN BANGGOLLAY<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/imagine-if-the-world-is-empty/
