Among the many kids I walked <br />Small and frail, carrying a load of books, <br />For the new year has comefor the new class, <br />I felt the mood in the children, <br />the happiness of new books, friends, <br />Tachers and the thrill of being a senior! <br />As the time passed by, we did feel, <br />The absence of girls, whom we parted <br />To the new girls school. <br />Some did try to go the girls school, <br />Only to be chased away, <br />By the old time gatekeeper. <br />It was in this schoo, that <br />We did most of our time, <br />made friends, learned to behave, <br />be cultured and be a good citizen. <br />Police doctors, nurses, Politicans, <br />drivers, masons, farmers we became, <br />yet we didn't loose touch, <br />With our beloved school which had <br />harly four walls and a roof. <br />Teachers have come and gone, <br />dead and loved, yet the school stayed <br />Stately and wonderful as ever. <br />How many more decades this school <br />Will teach our kids, I wonder! <br />Since we have Computers and The net, <br />Which mayl make our children not <br />Got to school, for stdies, Iam afraid! <br /> <br /> <br />Ravikiran arakkal.<br /><br />RAVIKIRAN ARAKKAL<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/school-lovely/
