I crave the imaginable- and the unimaginable too- <br />Because-I know not how to put it, typical, <br />Days are long-and wish I could be waiting for you, <br />Or find you somewhere, under the starry skies at twilight <br />But is it just my mind-playing one too many? <br /> <br />Thinking of the possible-into the depths of an abyss, <br />Then the drops of anguish gather –insurmountable, <br />The roaming smoke looking for a home drift unto me, <br />Choking on a palatable one this time round <br />That it’s cupid-yes, but am just a friend! <br /> <br />Your silhouette illuminates my backdrop, <br />A flutter in an empty distance triggers an emotion, <br />Is it love? <br />Friendship at the behest of seasons, <br />For old times’ sake-‘morrows sadness <br />And madness I know not in lust, <br />For a friend? <br /> <br />Loyalty pre-defined with an essence, <br />Ignorance in love more of my bliss, <br />Didn’t I envisage this? <br />Wanting more than I could kiss, <br />A crave demolishing my morals, <br />Eroding my heart –cupid’s hands <br />And still I crave, <br />For a friend in love- just a friend, <br />That I think is imaginable, <br />Unimaginable. <br /> <br />W.08<br /><br />Wesongah David<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/i-crave-3/
