I thought about it while I sat there still- <br />How infinite the time had seemed as well <br />In so much abundance is where she fell <br />It was not long before they took her will. <br />You see, I watched all of this pass me by, <br />Sitting there, movement impaired, in disbelief <br />No hand of mine reached out to soothe her grief <br />She fell, but bystanders don't testify <br />However, this is all just reflection- <br />With days counted, crossed, and thrown away <br />They decide fast from our selection- <br />The angels watched her make a plea to stay. <br />And in the deepest of nights I can hear- <br />The cry she makes, telling me not to fear.<br /><br />Melissa Goodman<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/angels-lace/
