The wallpaper today is stained yellow <br />but smells good <br />my razor cuts a square piece off <br />cardinals sing, blackbirds mate <br />three ducks in flight hang on one wall <br />colours faded, looking jaded <br />Their ego stripped naked and paraded <br />someone lights a cigarette <br />smoke rings pale truth <br />merging to the staining <br />as it begins to rain <br />the razor now rests on the table <br />nearby the yellow square <br />ceiling drips scarlet tears <br />yellow fades to amber <br />a surge of emotion <br />brings the wallpaper down<br /><br />Vikram G.
